I really like Kotkaniemi. Rasmus Sandin has been rocketing up the draft too. Might be a good fit around there. |

I find it amazing that all those scouts couldn’t see the factors contributing to his stats. In the cap world of the NHL, having scouts smart enough to find the hidden gems will be the difference between the average teams, and cup threats. |

I'm not sure why more teams don't roll the dice on guys like him in the later rounds. I don't agree with the idea of safe drafting in the early rounds, but I understand the reasoning behind it. |

Adam,
What about Valeri Nicushkin? Is he coming back next year. He would really help that second line in Dallas become one of the most explosive in the league. |

No idea if he's coming back. He was pretty poor in the K playoffs. I don't think he can make the impact his draft rank would suggest. |

Incredibly bad parenting if you are exposing your offspring to Frenchy's cerebral musings. |

Joe Veleno suffered from poop team syndrome too. Thankfully he may have been traded in time to save his draft stock |

Just like Svechnikov and Grigorenko before him, he's actually 33. |
